Born in Wales, UK, and raised in Scotland, Qasim always had a passion for service. In his early years, he trained in advanced first aid and joined an ocean rescue team abroad. Upon his return to the UK, he followed his desire to serve the community by working as a police officer in Scotland (Strathclyde Police).
In 2008, he fulfilled a lifelong dream by joining a British expedition to climb Mount Everest, raising more than ÂŁ300,000 for the British Heart Foundation. He made the climb in memory of his mother, who passed away in 2001 at the tender age of 44 due to a heart condition. He used the Everest expedition to make sense of some of his own internal battles. After deep reflection and soul-searching in the Himalayas, he realized that a lot of his pain was rooted in the sudden death of his mother when he was only 21 years old.
He decided to devote his life to helping others who have also been torn apart by the struggles of life.
The real game-changer came when he started to study his faith (Islam) and engage with various senior scholars and advanced students of knowledge.
He began to study psychology, attending seminars on the human condition for inspiration from some of our era’s great figures in personal development, including Les Brown, Muhammad Alshareef, Brendon Burchard, Kerwin Rae, Simon Sinek, and Anthony (Tony) Robbins. It was only then that he embarked on his greatest challenge to date: his Life Lessons™ series.
Through his growing social media presence, he went on to pen his first written piece: “7 Life Lessons: Overcoming Your Past Self.™” This was so warmly received across the globe that it ignited his passion for writing, resulting in his latest published works:
“7 Life Lessons on the Myths of Marriage.” ™
His passion and specialist skill set are in the field of relationships and life coaching. He has dedicated his time to helping as many individuals, couples, and families as possible to overcome their relationship and personal problems. He handles issues related to pre-marital, marital, divorce, addictions, as well as personal development and building healthy compatibility in marriage.
He now resides in the US with his wife, Yasmin Mogahed, and children. A large part of his inspiration comes from his wife, who is also a public figure and has devoted much of her life to the service of God by serving people within our community.
